1. Logo composition

ED Forum logo PD Conference logo

The OCASI conferences logos consist of 2 elements horizontally (horizontal lock-up) or vertically (stacked lock-up) aligned to the left and in 2 different colours:

  • the year of the event and the the letter-mark “OCASI”.
  • the name of the event written in title case (for English).

The same composition will work for future events organized by OCASI, where applicable. For French versions, the order of the elements vary accordingly.

For future editions, you may add different elements around the logo to customize the event, such as icons or other simple design elements, or subtle graphical backgrounds.

Executive Directors’ Forum

The following is a sample logo text for the Executive Directors Forum:

  • English: 2022 OCASI Executive Directors (ED) Forum
  • French: Forum des directrices et directeurs généraux (DG) d’OCASI 2022

Professional Development Conference

Below there is a sample logo text for the Professional Development Conference:

  • English: 2021 OCASI Professional Development Conference
  • French: Conférence de développement professionnel OCASI 2021

The event logos will be used with funders, partners, media, and promotional work, including reports, programs, event websites, and on-demand and streaming videos.

You can download the OCASI conferences’ logos from its download section under assets for both English and French versions, including low and high resolution files.

4. Co-branding

Logos of PD Conference and IRCC

Co-branding shows a partnership between your program/project/organization and another organization and represents an exchange of credibility between brands.

Display the OCASI conference logo next to other logos in horizontal or vertical orientation.

  • Make all logos appear visually equivalent
  • Add visually consistent spacing around the logos
  • Use the logos on white or very light backgrounds

Conference logo + Partner logo(s)

This option works for 2 or more equal logos:

  • Horizontal lock-up: place OCASI conference logo next to a brand partner logo.
  • Stacked lock-up: place OCASI conference logo above a brand partner logo.
  • Separator: add a thin grey line in between the OCASI conference logo and the brand partner logo.

Logo wall

Co-branding works best with 2 equal partners. If more than 3 parties are involved or if the relationship among them is not equal, try using another treatment instead, like a logo wall.

For OCASI conferences, the logo has some specific considerations:

  • the colour of the logos is always a combination of white and bright accent green
  • the logo is always on a green background (OCASI green or darker green)
  • as a designer, you may work with solid, gradient, or different graphical backgrounds each year

The logo on graphical backgrounds

Usually, a graphical background may be used for any event:

  • Graphical backgrounds use OCASI green colour as the dominant hue
  • Make sure the logo has enough contrast with the background
  • Do not use the OCASI conference logo on top of a photograph

Usage best practices

As for spacing, sizing, or positioning, check the general best practices for the OCASI visual identity guidelines.

OCASI conferences do not not include a representative symbol.

Symbols are commonly used on social media profiles. If needed, use the OCASI letter-mark in white on a solid OCASI green background as a logo to refer to your presence on profile pages, timelines, groups, threads, or events.

Examples of usage are app icons or profile avatar logos on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, or other platforms to join.

7. Typography
