Access Google Slides templates for your presentations and check some best practices
On this page:
1. Google Slides templates
At OCASI you can use Google Slides to create, edit, and share your presentations. Google Slides auto-saves your content as you work and allows for real-time collaboration.
- Templates can be downloaded as Microsoft PowerPoint (
.pptx
). - Your Google Slides presentations can be shared externally with non Google subscribers.
The OCASI templates are custom-branded from default Google Slides templates. The templates come in a variety of different slide compositions for you to work with. To access the Google Slides, you need to sign-in with your OCASI email account.
Template usage

- Make a copy of the template first (go to main menu: File > Make a copy > Entire presentation)
- Rename your copy accordingly for getting started
- Now you can modify, delete, or add new slides to your new presentation

2. Best practices
Colours
Follow the colour scheme of your presentation and keep in mind the basic guidelines on colour contrast.
Play with colour opposites:
- Dark backgrounds for slides that works as covers or title sections
- Light backgrounds for slides with regular content
Typography
Be consistent with your fonts and go easy with typography.
- Use brand fonts
- If you cannot use brand fonts, use fallback fonts
- Follow readability best practices
- Respect the margins of your document
- Avoid heavy text:
- break down long content into several slides
- use very short sentences
- use few bullets per list
Logos
As for logo placements, there are a few options:
- place the logos on the first and last slides (better for very clean presentations)
- place the logos on every slide (traditional option, more suitable for sharing presentations outside the organization)
- to display a group of multiple logos, use a blank slide with all the logos (co-branding or logo wall) as one of the first or last slides
- be always consistent with your choice
There are OCASI logos embedded onto the templates. If needed, you can download and add other logos:
